Privacy

HoopsGeo has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or location.

What we store

• A random ID in a cookie, so the server knows which guesses are yours for today's round.
• Your guesses for each round, tied to that random ID. A map guess is a game answer, not your location.
• Your stats, unit setting, and an unlocked pin, saved in this browser only. Clearing site data erases them.

Analytics

We use PostHog to count things like rounds started, finished, and shared. Events carry the puzzle, question number, and whether you're on a phone or computer. They never include your guesses, contacts, or anything you copy.

Maps

Map images load from MapTiler. Like any website, their servers see your IP address when your browser asks for map tiles.
